Burnett Medical Centre (B.M.C), is committed to providing best practice care to our patients. We have your health as our priority and we strive to deliver today’s medicine today. We will do our best to have you see a doctor that day if you can please phone us at 08:00am. It is Practice policy that unwell children are seen on the day.
The works were partly funded by a Federal Health Rural Medical Training initiative and Burnett Medical Centre. BMC employed the services of local tradesmen and suppliers during the renovations to ensure that we supported the local economy and to foster better relationships with our own community.
All new patients must phone our practice or come in and speak to our Reception to book an appointment in order for our friendly, helpful staff to introduce our practice, our services and policies to you in person. Call 4151 2608 to speak to us about booking an appointment.
Please phone at 8am on the day for an appointment and we will do our best for you to see your usual family Doctor.
We try our best to never turn away our children.
Should you find you no longer require your appointment, please phone our staff on 4151 2608 to cancel the appointment in order for other patients to be able to take your place.
A 2 hour cancellation notice policy is in place for standard visits, but for extended time, SIPS/EPC nurse bookings and minor procedures, 24 hours notice is required. Failing to do so may incur a DNA (did not arrive) fee, which is not refundable by Medicare.
IMPORTANT: for Emergency, Life Threatening Medical Conditions, please DO NOT attend our practice, but phone 000 for the best emergency response and to ensure the best outcome for you.
For first time patients, we request you phone our practice on 4151 2608 to enable our friendly staff to welcome you personally.
How to book online as a returning patient:
NB: an existing patient that has a DNA in place in our booking system may not be able to book another appointment until it is cleared with our staff. Online booking errors only occur if there is a block in place. Our staff do contact our patients after a DNA to advise of the policy or if a fee is now payable before a new appointment can be made.
We would like to thank you for choosing Burnett Medical Centre. Please familarise yourself with our Patient Code of Conduct.
