Women have their own health issues due to a complex reproductive system that makes them unique from men.
Burnett Medical Centre understand that men have unique needs in terms of health and the way health services are accessed. We provide specialised men’s health services.
The aim of the health check is to help find, prevent or lessen the effect of disease. After all, it is better to avoid disease than treat it. This health check will give us the opportunity to look at your lifestyle and medical/family history to find out if you are at risk.
As we grow older, regular health checks are recommended to check for chronic health problems that may arise. This health check also assists our senior patients that might be experiencing lifestyle issues.
The aim of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Check is to help ensure that people receive primary health care matched to their needs, by encouraging early detection, diagnosis and intervention for common and treatable conditions that cause morbidity and early mortality.
Burnett Medical Centre is a supporter of the ATSI Closing the Gap service for our indigenous patients. CTG is especially helpful for those that don’t usually qualify for bulk billing. CTG provides our ATSI patients with affordable health care.
